One of the most thrilling tourist spots, Tiger cave is in Virippara which is five km from Mankulam. It is said to be, once, the den of Wild cats/ Tigers and hence the name is carried after them. Trekking along the riverside covering bamboo forests and medicinal plantations are food to the souls of explorers. Crossing a small hanging bridge reaches the Tiger Cave enhancing the wild experience in every inch. This spot is also considered suitable for birdwatching. Nakshtrakuthu is a stunning water fall in Mankulam Range. It is situated 3 Km away from Viripara. Nakshathrakuth caves ( tiger cave )is on the way to Nakshathrakuth waterfall. The trekking is along the river side and covers bamboo forest and medicinal plantations. A small hanging bridge is also to be made across the river that enriches the wild experience. This area is an ideal place for trekking and bird watching.
