The crystal clear water originating from the core zone of Eravikulam National Park flows to river Pambar, one of the east flowing rivers in Kerala, which ultimately joins river Cauvery in Tamilnadu. Lakkom waterfalls is a natural fall which cascades down the hill side, lending an enchanting view.

          Lakkam waterfalls Located in the Munnar-Marayoor route, the waterfall is surrounded by ‘Vaga trees’. The waterfall originates from the Eravikulam Plateau. Swimming in the waterfall: Wear waterproof footwear with good grip for swimming or soaking. Carry a change of clothes.
Facilities: Separate changing rooms and a toilet are available.
Safety: Avoid getting too close to the falls due to strong currents. A marked string indicates the high-risk area.
