Viripara Tiger Cave

The Viripara Tiger Cave, located near the Viripara Waterfalls in Munnar, Kerala, is a historical and natural wonder. The cave, surrounded by lush green forests, is believed to have been used by tigers in the past, hence its name. The cave features ancient rock carvings and paintings, believed to have been created by the Neolithic people who lived in the region. Nakshtrakuthu is a stunning water fall in Mankulam Range. It is situated 3 Km away from Viripara. Nakshathrakuth caves ( tiger cave )is on the way to Nakshathrakuth waterfall. The trekking is along the river side and covers bamboo forest and medicinal plantations. A small hanging bridge is also to be made across the river that enriches the wild experience. This area is an ideal place for trekking and bird watching. 
Time slots: 7 am, 7.30 am, 11 am, 11.30 am, 2 pm and 2.30 pm.

In addition to its historical significance, the Viripara Tiger Cave is also a popular tourist destination. The cave is located near the Viripara Waterfalls, and visitors can trek to the cave through the surrounding forests and riverside. The trek is approximately 3 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours to complete. Along the way, visitors can see a variety of flora and fauna, including rare species of plants and animals.
