Tour details;     We need to drive about 43 kilometers to Anakulam via Lekshmi Mountain (road) from Starting point by Jeep.  The unspoken feel of beauty and serenity together meet at a forest locked village called Anakulam. This place of aesthetic value is nearly 40 km away from Munnar, the paradise of Gods’ own country. Elephants dally here in large social groups in human inhabited areas, which is something unique about this scenic spot. Two tributaries of Periyaar, namely, Idacholayaar and Nallatanniyaar wets and nourishes this land. Accessibility depends on jeep service.

   Everyone can enjoy elephant herds within a distance of 50 meter. The herd strength includes young calf and the mighty tuskers.  A nice walk through the forest and a cool bath in the Idacholayaar freshen one’s mind.

    Anakulam is an amphitheatre surrounded by Reserve forests. It has high uniqueness due to geographical, climatic and cultural richness.  The panoramic view of step cultivation lands of Anakulam surrounded by huge mountains is mesmerizing. Viripara Tiger cave is one of the thrilling tourist spots beside a river. Once the den of Tigers in the Viripara cave, and hence the name carried. It is a 1 hour walking program through the Tropical forest crossing Hanging Bridge.

Anakkulam Village Life Experience

• Perumankuth waterfalls

Perumankuth is a unique beautiful Historical place with lush green forest all around. It is the highest waterfalls in Munnar and is beside the Munnar road.

• Hanging bridge

Hanging Bridge in the village was hand-made by the local villagers to make a way to their village. It was also a different walking experience, which is a way of entertainment.

• River crossing and Swimming in the danger-free river

One can most explore the day inside the forest and some activities like swimming in a danger-free river, which relaxes your mind and body. 

• Explore on the way Local spices

It was the fragrance of spice that awakened the curiosity of the explorers. As can be seen, the variety of spices like cardamom, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Clove, Nutmeg, Cumin, etc.          

• Rubber Tree Planatation
